The annual wildebeest migration from Tanzania to Kenya is arguably the most spectacular natural event that attracts hundreds tourists to East Africa. From the vast Serengeti plains to the champagne coloured hills of Kenya’s Masai Mara, over 1.4 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra and gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa’s great predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of rain ripened grass. This safari itinerary can be re-arranged to suit individual taste and you can fly into Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport to start the safari.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro-Arusha
Our Tanzania representative will receive you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to Arusha for overnight at Impala Hotel on Half Board accommodation.

Day 2: Arusha-Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha in the morning for Lake Manyara, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions.

Day 3: Lake Manyara-Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater and arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon visit the Maasai Village to learn the tribe’s dances and culture.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half day of game drive. You check into Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge before lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure by the lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro-Serengeti
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park, via Olduvai Gorge archaeological site, with game viewing en route in the Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park–Western Corridor
After breakfast depart for a whole day of game drives in the Serengeti National Park on the wildebeest migration trail.

After breakfast depart for another whole day of game drives in the Serengeti National Park on the wildebeest migration trail.

Day 8: Serengeti-Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart for Kenya-Tanzania border of Isebania carrying packed lunch. To be picked from the border by our Kenyan guide and continue with safari to Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Day 9-12: Masai Mara
Spend the whole day in the Masai Mara plains doing game drives and on the look out for herds of wildebeests crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River.

Day 13: Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru
Depart Mara for Lake Nakuru. Lunch at the Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. Afternoon game drives at Lake Nakuru National Park, a nature lover's paradise, famous for her bird spectacle of a million flamingoes, the White Rhino and the rare leopard.

Day 14: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi – Depart Home
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Nairobi. Lunch on your own. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your international flight home.
